How do I use AbleToPlay?
AbleToPlay is all about matching your personal needs and preferences with accessible games. The first step to getting the most out of AbleToPlay is to fill out your Profile.
On your Profile, you can set various needs and preferences in the 6 categories we assess games with: vision, mobility, auditory, cognition, triggers, and other – a final category of quality-of-life options.
Once you've filled out your Needs and Preferences, you can view any game on the site and generate your personalized accessibility scores for it. This will take your Needs and Preferences, compare them to what features are present in the game – as well as the degree to which those features fulfill your Needs and Preferences – to create your personalized scores.
Your personalized score is shown as an overall average number, and specific numbers for each category.
The majority of each game's page on AbleToPlay is accessibility information, organized into the same 6 categories as your Needs and Preferences. You can navigate to each of these categories using the on-page navigation menu, or you can scroll to read more.
Finally, if you feel good about how accessible a game is to you, you can use the buttons in the "Where To Buy" section to jump to the storefront of your choice.
