Our Pledge
The AbleToPlay team is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for all gamers, regardless of ability, disability, gaming experience, or background. We pledge to make our community a harassment-free experience where everyone can explore, discuss, and share their gaming experiences safely and respectfully.
Our Standards
Encouraged Behaviors
- Using welcoming and inclusive language
- Being respectful of differing abilities, perspectives, and lived experiences
- Earnestly giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
- Focusing on what helps the community grow and learn together
- Showing empathy and kindness toward other community members
- Respecting privacy and confidentiality of accessibility needs shared by others
Unacceptable Behaviors
- Using ableist, sexist, racist, or derogatory language
- Promoting harmful, disrespectful, or ableist stereotypes
- Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind
- Trolling, insulting comments, or personal attacks
- Public or private harassment of other users
- Sharing others' private information without explicit permission
- Spam, excessive self-promotion, or off-topic discussions
- Deliberately invalidating or minimizing others' accessibility needs
- Any form of sexual harassment, either in public spaces or direct messages, against any community member
Enforcement
Reporting Guidelines
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it by:
We take reports of unacceptable behavior very seriously. All reports will be handled with discretion, confidentiality, and swiftness. We reserve the right to take any and all necessary actions to prevent harassment in our community.
Consequences
Our moderation team maintains constant vigilance over the AbleToPlay community and wields a wide range of enforcement tools that will be deployed swiftly and decisively against those who violate our community standards. While some minor first-time infractions may receive warnings, we reserve the right to take immediate and permanent action against any behavior that threatens the safety or dignity of our members.
We do not have a rigid escalation policy by design – we believe in taking whatever action is necessary to protect our community, even if it's a first offense. Those who come here to harass or harm others should understand that their time in our community will be brief, their impact will be minimized, and their removal will be absolute. Our commitment and ability to protecting our members far outweighs any motive for those who would deliberately make others feel unsafe or unwelcome.
